English: The Church celebrates the Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday night as the pinnacle of the liturgical year, commemorating the glorious Resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. Beginning in complete darkness, the liturgy opens with the Service of Light, where the new Paschal fire is blessed and the Paschal Candle—representing Christ as the Light of the World—is carried into the church.
