Latar Belakang / Sejarah

Church of St. Anthony is a Roman Catholic church in Nibong Tebal, Seberang Perai Selatan. It is located along Jalan Ooi Kar Seng, one of the main roads that leads to the Nibong Tebal town. St Anthony's Church was founded in 1879 by a Catholic missionary, Father René Michel Marie Fee, who came from St Francis Xavier's Church in Penang to look after the needs of the Indian Catholics in Province Wellesley. The church has been established for 147 years. Now, there are 265 families and more than 700 parishioners attached to the church.
