English: The Church celebrates the Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe, on the final Sunday of Ordinary Time as the triumphant climax of the liturgical year. Instituted by Pope Pius XI in 1925, this solemnity proclaims the supreme authority, sovereignty, and eternal kingship of Jesus Christ over all individuals, families, nations, and the cosmos. Unlike worldly rulers, Christ reigns from the throne of the Cross with humility, justice, truth, and love, inviting all creation to enter His Kingdom of peace and salvation before He comes again in glory.
