The Ku Cheng Tse Temple Butterworth was established in 1963 at Kampung Gajah, Butterworth. Upon completion of the current building at Lorong Jelawat 4 in 2003, the temple moved here. Its architecture encompasses both the Thai and Chinese Buddhist elements. The main Deities of Worship at Ku Cheng Tse Temple are the Lord Buddha, the Thailand high monk Venerable Luang Phor Thout and the 18 Arahants. The temple also provides regular charity and medical aids for the poor.
