After Venerable Sayalay Susīlā’s ordination in 1991, she traveled to Myanmar to pursue her intensive meditation practice for many years, learning under the guidance of several renowned teachers using various techniques. Venerable Sayalay Susīlā is proficient in both Chinese and English and is well-known for her simple and lucid way of imparting the profound teachings of the Buddha. She is also well-versed in the Abhidhamma, Sutta Pitaka and the Pāli language. As a very experienced and competent meditation instructor, she has taught many students who have benefited and found joy through her meaningful Dhamma talks and guidance.
