This small but unique temple is more than 50 years old. It was originally a part of a "kampong" where most of them were Indians. There used to be kampung houses, coconut trees and even cows. One of us used to play football there in the 80s as a schoolboy. However all this changed in the late 90s. Massive development took place. It is truly amazing that the temple still remains there. There are buildings all around. I guess the developers were no match for our Mathurai Veeran. The people who used to live here still maintain the temple. They even have a priest. These photos were taken during Panguni Uthiram. As it has been all these years, a thaneer panthal was put up in front of the Temple and all the people who used to live here came back for the occasion.
