Latar Belakang / Sejarah

Wesley Methodist Church Butterworth is a major church in Permatang Pauh. The church was established through the church-planting effort of the Chinese Methodist of Bukit Mertajam in 1961. In 1966, the believers managed to secure a permanent site for their service at a shophouse at Jalan Pantai, Butterworth before moving into the new building of current place. The construction of the new church only began in 2012 and was completed in the following year.
