English: The Church celebrates the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus on the Friday following the Second Sunday after Pentecost. This high feast honors the infinite, merciful, and redeeming love of Jesus Christ for all humanity, represented by His Sacred Heart wounded by human sin and indifference. The devotion invites the faithful to offer acts of reparation for the coldness and ingratitude shown to the Savior, while contemplating the total self-giving of Christ, who loved us even unto death on the Cross.
