Reformation Day is an annual Protestant Christian holiday celebrated on October 31 to commemorate the beginning of the Protestant Reformation in 1517, when Martin Luther famously posted his Ninety-five Theses on the door of the All Saints' Church in Wittenberg, Germany. The day emphasizes core Reformation principles such as justification by faith alone, the authority of scripture, and the priesthood of all believers.
