The Day of Pentecost, often celebrated fifty days after Easter Sunday, marks the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the apostles and other followers of Jesus Christ as described in the New Testament. Often referred to as the birthday of the Christian Church, this profound event empowered the early believers to speak in different languages and boldly proclaim the gospel to people from all nations. It symbolizes the empowering presence of the Holy Spirit guiding the church and uniting believers across the world.
