The Feast of the Conversion of Saint Paul, celebrated annually on January 25, commemorates the dramatic event on the road to Damascus where Saul of Tarsus—a zealous persecutor of the early Christians encountered the risen Christ in a blinding flash of light. This profound spiritual awakening transformed him from a fierce enemy of the faith into Paul the Apostle, one of Christianity's most influential missionaries and theologians. His conversion is considered a pivotal moment in Church history, marking a turning point that helped spread the Gospel message beyond Jewish communities to the wider Gentile world.
